True to its name, the Phototroph Synthesizer takes in light and churns out energetic organic sounds. It nurtures new associations—between light and sound, darkness and rhythm, the organic and the artificial—through simple interactions. Anyone can walk up to it, cast shadows and light across its control surface, and hear the complex results of simple motions.
